David Soria MD: We want to provide a good quality of care to our patients, the most acute of which, many times are TIA or strokes. We want to do it in an easy, convenient, and easy to access fashion. SOC has been able to allow us to do that and provide that quality of care to our patients. In our two years experience the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. I think our patients actually enjoy the service, they certainly enjoy the fact that a neurologist is speaking to them immediately, rather than traditionally having to wait significant amount of time before one arrived. That has been a pleasant surprise and that’s where it’s exceeded our expectations with that question.
We have the trust, we know them by name. We’ve consistently used or have gotten the same neurologist on the TV screen so we know them, like we would any of our medical staff. They almost seem like part of our medical staff because we talk to them so frequently. Many times it’s a first name basis, we trust their opinion, it’s not somebody that we haven’t seen before. We get the recommendations, many times it’s a cordial conversation over the phone. The relationship has been great.
